Disc Jockeys: Phil
Phil is Spinnin’ Discs biggest Bears fan and is also a senior dj with our company. Phil’s history in the dj entertainment business started back to his college days at Western Illinois University in Macomb where he started djing at the Moon in Macomb in 1976. After college he went on to dj at Bojangles, and Joe Senser’s. His final stop on the nightclub circuit was working for football hall of famer and member of the 1985 Chicago Bears Superbowl Championship Team Walter Payton at two of his nightclubs, Studebakers in Schaumburg and Pacific Club in Lombard. Phil joined the Spinnin’ Discs staff in 1999 and has been actively djing just about every weekend ever since.
Self admittedly, his favorite type of event to entertain at is a wedding. Phil himself best says his favorite part of being a dj. “ Interacting with people and helping them have an evening they will never forget is what is most important. “ His favorite memory of entertaining at a wedding was? “ I did a wedding at Indian Lakes Resort where the entire bridal party danced on top of the tables. That’s a night that none of them will ever forget. Knowing that I had something to do with that is a the best reward anyone could ask for.”
“ Phil was 100% pure fabulous! He did an excellent job and kept all of my guests from the age of 16 to 80 dancing the entire night away.”
